Places to visit
We are conveniently located between Salcombe and Dartmouth, near the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The South West Coastal Path is also a short drive away, while hill walking can be found on Dartmoor, which is a 45-minute drive away.
Slapton Sands and Slapton Ley Nature Reserve are a few miles away, and other beaches are nearby, including Blackpool Sands and East Portlemouth. There is also windsurfing and surfing at Bigbury-on-Sea.
A public slipway for boats is a mile away at the head of Frogmore Creek, which flows into Kingsbridge and Salcombe estuaries and to the sea.
Chillington offers a general store/post office, a pub (The Open Arms) and a hairdresser, whilst Frogmore has its own bakery.
Kingsbridge is 10-15 minutes away by car. It is the local shopping centre, and has a good selection of shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs and restaurants.
We are a 45 minute drive from Plymouth and a one hour drive from Exeter.
